Recycle at play: recycling information for Tulane Residence Halls
Residence halls have a recycling station outside the
dorm, or a recycling and garbage room on every floor. Use your room’s recycling bin to collect recyclables, then bring them to your dorm’s recycling room or station. Sort your recyclables into the paper or the bottle & can recycling container. Remember to bring your bin back to your room.
Recycling of all paper, plastic bottles (#1 and #2), and metal cans is now available to Deming residents on the downtown campus. Recycling toters are located outside the back entrance.
- Paper: All paper accepted, including color paper, newspaper, magazines, envelopes and folders. No bound books or food containers.
- Plastic bottles & aluminum cans: Only plastic bottles (#1 and #2) are accepted. Please remember to clean out all recyclable materials before depositing them. No plastic bags.
- Cardboard: Corrugated cardboard can be recycled on the Uptown campus by placing it next to any garbage dumpster. During move-in week, cardboard is picked up daily from behind residence halls. Remove all non-recyclable trash, plastic, and Styrofoam packing.
- Glass: We are unable to accept glass at this time.
Ink Cartridge Recycling Now Available
Collection boxes for ink cartridge recycling are located at the Residence hall front desks (Monroe, Butler, Sharp, Mayer, Willow, JL, Wall Residence, Paterson, Warren), the Willow Computer Labs, and outside 107 Richardson Building.
